Meet Xing, mom of Cece and Jojo. In search of an easy way to pass along clothing, toys, and other baby items her kids had outgrown to families who could put them to use, as well as to acquire new preloved items for her quickly growing children, Xing started WeeUse. Her initial idea was to create an online marketplace for parents to buy, sell, lend, and borrow kids' stuff, accompanied by community-building events like clothing and toy swaps. Although the marketplace didn't gain enough traction to maintain, the local events have been a huge hit and continue to help promote the circular economy of kids' stuff in downtown Toronto!
